The NEOS encompasses a soapstone core, meaning that like a night storage heater it can store heat, but the difference here is that it doesn’t wait until the following morning to release the heat. With infrared heating, you need consistent energy supply in order for to feel the heat.
So how does this make the NEOS energy efficient? The NEOS is able to provide 30 minutes of heat without using electricity! When the room reaches your set temperature, the NEOS will stop using electrical energy but the core will still emit heat to keep the room at the desired temperature. A big bonus of this is the cost savings!
