Trust Electric Heating Celebrates Finalist Nomination for Green Heat Project of the Year at UK Green Business Awards 2024

Trust Electric Heating Celebrates Finalist Nomination for Green Heat Project of the Year at UK Green Business Awards 2024

Trust Electric Heating is proud to announce its finalist nomination for the prestigious Green Heat Project of the Year award at the UK Green Business Awards 2024. This nomination highlights the company’s innovative work on the Newbury Almshouse project, which has set new standards for heating efficiency and sustainability in historic properties.

The UK Green Business Awards, organised by Business Green, shine a spotlight on the UK’s leading companies and projects that contribute significantly to building a sustainable, healthier, and more prosperous economy. These awards recognise the most inspiring work in renewables, energy efficiency, and circular economy projects, marking an important acknowledgment for those at the forefront of environmental innovation.

The Newbury Almshouse project was selected for its outstanding approach to modernising heating solutions in listed buildings—a challenge compounded by stringent preservation requirements. Trust Electric Heating delivered a bespoke solution that not only improved overall energy efficiency but also enhanced the comfort and satisfaction of the almshouse residents. The company’s state-of-the-art NEOS radiators were a key component, providing easy-to-use, reliable heating that respects the architectural integrity of historic sites.

John Craig, Chair of the Newbury Almshouse Trust, reflected on the project’s success: “The collaboration between Newbury Almshouse Trust and Trust Electric Heating was characterised by open communication, problem-solving, and a true sense of partnership. The installation process was marked by its simplicity, which is exactly what you want in a heating solution—something that works efficiently without requiring constant attention.”

Gavin Hobbs, an electrician involved in the project, also praised the NEOS radiators, saying, “The simplicity of the design makes it very adaptable and stylish. It fits seamlessly into the environments we’ve got, proving that good engineering doesn’t have to be complex to be effective.”

This nomination not only celebrates the innovative efforts of Trust Electric Heating in addressing the unique challenges of the Newbury Almshouse but also reinforces the company’s position as a leader in sustainable heating solutions. As the UK Green Business Awards approach, Trust Electric Heating looks forward to the opportunity to showcase how cutting-edge technology and thoughtful design can significantly impact energy conservation and historical preservation.

The winners will be announced in June this year, and Trust Electric Heating is hopeful that the Newbury Almshouse project will be recognized for its significant contributions to sustainable heating practices in the UK.
