We know what you’re thinking, electric bathroom heating must be expensive, how can it save you money? While some electric heating systems may be expensive to run, the NEOS Electric Radiator is 59.4% cheaper to run compared to other electric heaters. Why? Well for many reasons…

1. Controllability

Just like we know that not every heating system is one size fits all, we know that one heating schedule is one fits all - that’s why the NEOS has three thermostat options: the Protostat, wireless control, and app control, all of which allow you to set heating schedules that match your lifestyle. What’s better is the wireless and app control allow you to turn your electric radiator on from where ever you are - even while you’re wrapped up in bed on winter mornings! 

So how do thermostats save you money? Well if you use them correctly (setting schedules, and turning them off when you’re not using them), you use less energy which saves you money - who knew it was that easy!

2. Soapstone

The core of the NEOS is made from soapstone, we promise it’s more robust than your bathroom soap, which stores heat and releases it for 30-40 minutes without using electricity - we can see the savings already. Not only does soapstone store heat, it works perfect for bathrooms due to it’s non-porous nature, meaning it won’t absorb any of the moisture in the air and damage. You’ll find that other models tend to use clay, which unfortunately isn’t the best material for bathrooms as this will absorb water and over time crack or damage. 

3. Convection

A lot of bathroom heaters will use radiant heat, which gives you a nice ray of sunshine feeling if you’re stood directly infront of it - the problem is it doesn’t actually heat your bathroom. The key to actually heating your bathroom is through convection, and you guessed it, the NEOS is convection based! 

How does convection relate to savings? Let’s compare convection and radiant heating; to feel the benefit of a radiant heater, you need to have the heater running, continuously… Whereas a convection based heater will heat the room to your desired temperature, and only turn back on if the room temperature drops below a set temperature. 

What makes the NEOS better than other convection based heaters? Well the NEOS is designed with something we like to call Quadvex Convection, which doubles the points of convection a typical heater usually has, from 1-2 points to 4 to be exact, this gives you 40% more heat, and heats your bathroom quicker!
